Beth is excited to be working on her first book called “Musing Mediterranean.” It is an entertaining tale of her first visit to Greece, Italy and Turkey. The book is more than a travelogue; it is an account of a full travel experience from the planning phase to the return home. An anxious traveler; Beth’s initial reaction to this 14 day trip was panic. Despite her phobia and reluctance, the Mediterranean enticed her. As someone half Greek and half Italian, seeing her ancestral countries had always been a dream. Yet, with that dream now in reach she was overwrought. This, however, was an opportunity, if not a gift, she couldn’t refuse. The nine family members who joined Beth were her support, entertainment and constant reminder that travel is a wonderful thing. This book is “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” meets “Eat, Pray, Love.”
As the reader, you are Beth’s travel companion. The story is intended to take you on the journey with her-both physically and emotionally. In addition to details of her destinations, she shares the charm and challenges of family travel, the good and bad of a lavish vacation lifestyle and most importantly the revelation that travel is something to embrace. You will pack with her, you will dine with her, get lost with her and, most importantly, you will laugh with her. If you’ve never experienced the beauty of the Mediterranean, “Musing Mediterranean” will take you there, page by page.
